Well, Cecilia’s one year doctor appt. went very well. She got upset when they tried to measure her head, measure her height, weigh her, check her heartbeat, check her tummy, check her eyes, here ears and her mouth, … need I keep going? She didn’t like being inspected very much.
The doctor said she looks perfectly healthy and, though she has thinned out a bit and dropped a bit in the weight percentile, she has the physiche of a toddler and is as active as any. The doctor was quite impressed with how active she was around the examining room once we got her dressed and put her down – she never stopped, not even when she got near the doctor.
She did get one a shot – her MMRV (Measles, Mumps, Rhubella and Varmicella [“Chicken Pox”]) which cried momentarily and then was fine. Considering everything she was a real trooper and has earned three months without shots. Hopefully there will be no side effects from the vax as this particular one can have side effects anywhere from 1 week to 1 month after getting it.
The office officially measured her at 29 inches and 20 pounds!
