On Sunday we went to Mass at the Church of the Holy Ghost – a very pretty little church not far from our hotel. Once again, for the third mass in three days, both girls were fantastic.
Afterwards, we went to eat at the Paramount Cafe – not a bad little place.
Then we drove out west a bit to the Argo Gold Mine. On the way both girls fell asleep. So while they napped I looked around and found this. LOL
Once the girls were up, we panned for gold and gem stones. Cecilia enjoyed it. She likes rocks.
From there we went back East a bit to the Shrine of Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini, where there is a statue of the Sacred Heart (it was kindof a Sacred Heart weekend) atop over 300 steps. No we didn’t climb it with two little ones and less than hour before closing. We took a picture of it, but it turned out a little funny. The lighting makes it look like we are seeing a vision.
Here was the statue at the base of the hill near the chapel
Stained Glass on the side of the chapel
Then we went to the White Fence Farm (next post)
