1. On Sunday, I went to bed at 8:30 and got up at 6:30, only getting up during the night a few times to nurse Elizabeth. Oh did I need that night’s sleep.
2. I finished Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. A very good book about the destruction of sin on the soul and the value of conscience. “There was purification in punishment. Not ‘Forgive us our sins,’ but ‘Smite us for our iniquities’ should be the prayer of a man to a most just God.” How true and yet how wonderfully blessed are we to have a just AND merciful God.
3. I hid the Play-doh! Felicity had been driving me nuts. She would pull out containers of play-doh, take them anywhere and everywhere, open them, and then proceed to break it into small pieces. I finally found a place to relocate the play-doh where the girls can still get it, but as it is out of sight, it is likewise, out of mind. Hopefully it won’t need to be relocated again.
