Now, I don’t do this often, but this weekend I have to say something about my husband.
Remember I am often unavailable with a newborn who either eats or insists on sleeping on me.
James played with the girls on Saturday and rearranged and cleaned our basement (which is basically an office/exercise area) with the girls as his “helpers.” Then he proceeded to cook dinner completely by himself. He used our new grill to make steak kabobs with tomatoes, onions and green bell peppers and then he grilled fresh corn on the cob. He made baked potatoes and fresh rolls. And then, to placate his wife who really wanted something more than A1 to go with her steak, he made fresh from-scratch bernaise sauce. YUM! But it doesn’t end there. Then, this morning, he got up and made fresh – yep, from scratch again – pancakes with hot maple syrup and crispy bacon. Then he stacked the dishwasher and got it started before we headed off to church.
After all that, I think it is safe to say tomorrow will be leftovers. Yum! Thank you hubby!
