I am praying for painless muscles. I got a Wii Active for my birthday and did a 20 minute workout on Saturday. I still can’t walk up or down stairs steadily my legs are so sore. I realize this doesn’t say much for my fitness level, but as much as I want to start their 30 day challenge, I cannot begin to play it again until I can move a little better.
I am hoping for a break from the rain! Ugh, so much rain! Cabin Fever!
I am thinking our food industry needs a massive overhaul. Why is there high fructose corn syrup in my ketchup? Why is there soy Lecithin in chocolate? Can’t I only eat corn when I, well, eat corn? Why is processed corn and soy in almost everything? Geez! Forget the health care reform until there is food system reform!
I am thankful for Cold Brew Iced Tea! Now if it only came in Decaff!
Cecilia is singing the theme song to Shaun the Sheep. She thinks the lyrics about how “astute” Shaun is are hysterical! She has been practicing trying to write her letters a lot in the last week. I picked up a laminated sheet of upper and lower case letters at Staples for a buck and she practices tracing them with a marker, I wipe it clean, and we repeat. She still doesn’t quite have down how to properly hold the marker, but practice makes perfect.
Felicity is learning so many new words. New words every day. It is fantastic!
Elizabeth is asleep in my lap. Poor thing. Food shopping tuckered her out. Her sleep has been marked lately by lots of interruptions to eat. But she has been happy through all of it with smiles all around.
I am reading Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Stevenson (not yet begun), The Pursuit of Happiness – God’s Way by Pinckaers (halfway through chapter 5), and The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan (on chapter 15 out of 20).
I am listening to “Shaun the Sheep” accompanied by Cecilia’s beautiful voice.
This week we need to run to Sam’s; I have a TORCH meeting for which I am responsible for the refreshments; this week also is my Birthday but I’m not sure what we may be doing for that yet.
This week’s saints include St. Luke – 10/18: Patron of Artists, Bachelors, Bookbinders, Brewers, Butchers, Doctors, Glass Workers, Goldsmiths, Lace Workers, Notaries; Sts.
